The chief minister said his government would ensure that there would not be any shortage of water in any of the six districts - Dumka, Godda, Pakur, Jamtatara, Sahebgunj and Deoghar - under Santal Paragana region.
Das has directed to the concerned officials to constitute Rural Farmers Committees, so that development schemes could be formulated as per their suggestions as well as to incorporate their suggestions in the 2016-17 budget of the state.
Stating that malnutrition in the state remained a big challenge for the government, Das said the state government would soon recruit 250 doctors and 400 para-medical staff in the state. He further stated that necessary medicines of 100 kinds will be made available in all hospitals of the state within months time.
The people of the state had elected a majority government as BJP had promised all round development of mineral-rich Jharkhand during the 2014 assembly poll, he said adding that it was now the responsibility of the government to fulfill the promise.
In an attempt to keep its promise, the ministers and officials have started visiting rural pockets of the state to establish a direct interaction with the rural masses, he said.
