As part of the initiative, Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh will arrive in the national capital soon to apprise Home Minister Rajnath Singh about the evolving situation in the state as well as the steps taken to resolve the crisis.
Home Ministry officials are in constant touch with Manipur government officials and offered to provide all help to deal with the situation, official sources said.
The United Naga Council, the apex political organisation of Nagas, has declared an indefinite ban on all vehicular traffic on national and state highways in Naga-dominated areas in Manipur from September 4.
The blockade, if takes place, is likely to hit the supply of essential commodities to the state as the ban will prevent trucks from making their way to Manipur's capital Imphal.
The United Naga Council called for the ban after two people were killed in Ukhrul district, nearly 85 kilometres from Imphal, after police allegedly opened fire on protestors.
