"We had summoned both, the Kannada starlet and union minister's son Karthik Gowda, for recording their statements in the case last evening," City Police Commissioner M N Reddi told PTI here.
"We are, for the second day, continuing to record statements of the actress," he added.
The case triggered a storm in the state after the small-time model-turned-actress lodged a complaint against Karthik, who was booked under sections 376 (punishment for rape) and 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code.
Breaking down before the media at her residence, the woman alleged that Karthik and his family were meting out injustice to her as they were rich and powerful.

"They (Karthik and family) are doing injustice to me. They have money and status, but I want truth to come out, people should know about it, no other woman should undergo such things, so I have come forward...," she said.
The woman said the police had summoned her last evening and taken some important documents including birth and educational certificates. "They (police) have taken my age proof, marks card and information regarding my education.."
"I request you (media) - I have not committed any mistake, I have truth with me, despite knowing that all these things will happen, my family may have to undergo lots of pain, I came forward to fight it out," she said.
The Railway Minister has asserted that his son had been "falsely implicated" but said the law should take its own course on the complaint.
Bangalore Police Commissioner M N Reddi had said yesterday police would act as per law. "Yes we will summon him and if found guilty, will arrest him," he said.
