Sounding unconcerned about the competition from the peers especially newly launched full service carrier, Jet Airways chairman Naresh Goyal today said he always 'welcomes' any competition in the business.
"I always welcome competition...I would always welcome every body," Goyal told reporters here.
Goyal, who has offloaded 24 per cent stake in his carrier to the Gulf-based carrier Etihad, earlier met the Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju, besides senior Ministry officials here.
However, the contours of these meetings were not known.
When prodded repeatedly whether he takes Tata-SIA joint venture carrier 'Vistara' as challenge to his established business in view of the competition, he said, "Everybody is allowed to do business. Whatever everybody does, they are welcome to do."
It may be noted here that Federation of Indian Airlines (FIA), an association of Indian carriers, of which Jet Airways is a member, has opposed the entry of both AirAsia India and Vistara.

FIA has even taken the issue to the Delhi High Court.
The Mumbai-headquartered airline along with other domestic airlines has reduced its fares several times since the launch of Vistara in early January.
Jet Airways last week had offered an up to 44 per cent discount on its domestic flights besides doling out an upto 20 per cent discount on its flights to Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Dhaka, Colombo, Kathmandu and Ho Chi Minh City.
Also, it has offered additional privilege and benefits to the member of its loyalty programme for some domestic sectors to woo more customers.
