Justice H K Srivastava granted bail while hearing a petition filed by Gupta.
Gupta, who was the Sub-Divisional Officer of Mohania in Rohtas district, was arrested by the vigilance department on July 12 for allegedly indulging in corruption.
The General Administration Department (GAD) of the state government issued a notice on July 20 suspending him. A case was registered against Gupta, a 2013 batch IAS officer, in the vigilance police station under the anti-corruption law.
Appearing for Gupta, senior advocate Y V Giri submitted that he had been framed in the vigilance case as he acted against the truckers.

The allegations levelled against him were based on a driver's statement which is doubtful, he contended.
There is no evidence to show that Gupta had demanded money, neither money was recovered from his possession, the counsel submitted.
The vigilance court had on July 22 dismissed the regular bail petition of Gupta.
The arrest of the officer had triggered protests from the state IAS officers' association.
