Besides, reports of a weak trend in pulses in global market too put pressure on the prices, traders said.
They said fall in demand from retailers at current levels against ample stocks position on increased supplies in the market after the government took steps to curb prices, kept pressure on gram, arhar and a few other pulses prices.
In the national capital, gram dropped by Rs 500 to Rs 6,700-6,900 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality followed suit and enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 7,100-7,300 and Rs 7,400-7,500 per quintal. Kabli gram small variety lost Rs 100 at Rs 8,500-8,900 per quintal.
Arhar and its dal dara variety dropped by Rs 500 each to Rs 5,500 and Rs 8,200-9,900 per quintal respectively.

Urad and its dal chilka local fell by Rs 500 each to Rs 8,700-9,800 and Rs 8,900-9,000 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya traded lower by the same margin to Rs 9,000-9,500 and Rs 9,400-9,700 per quintal.
Moong and its dal chilka local drifted lower by Rs 300 each to Rs 4,600-5,100 and Rs 5,100-5,500 per quintal. Its dal dhoya local and best quality enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 5,500-6,000 and Rs 6,000-6,200 per quintal.
Moth too ended lower by Rs 200 to Rs 4,400-4,800 per quintal.
