Traders said uptick in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts amid some enquiries from dal mills mainly helped gram and arhar prices to trade higher.
In the national capital, gram edged up to Rs 6,150-6,600 from previous level of Rs 6,000-6,500 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality traded higher by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,900-7,300 and Rs 7,300-7,400 per quintal, respectively.
Besan Shaktibhog and Rajdhani quoted higher at Rs 2,750 each instead of Rs 2,700 each per 35 kg bag.
