Gram, arhar rise on uptick in demand

Prices of gram and arhar rose by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on pick up in demand from retailers.
Traders said uptick in demand from retailers and some enquiries from dal mills mainly led to rise in gram and arhar prices.
In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality were up by Rs 100 each to 5,400-6,300, Rs 6,100-6,500 and Rs 6,500-6,600 per quintal, respectively.
Arhar and its dal dara variety also edged up by Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 3,700 and Rs 5,800-7,600 per quintal, respectively.
