Gram and its dal strengthened up to Rs 100 at the wholesale market in the national capital today on rising demand from retailers.
However, arhar and other pulses moved in a narrow range in limited deals and closed steady.
Traders said rising demand from retailers in the face of restricted supplies from producing belts mainly kept gram and its dal prices higher.
In the national capital, gram edged up to Rs 5,050-5,600 from previous level of Rs 5,000-5,600 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,400-5,600 and Rs 5,500-5,800 per quintal respectively.
Meanwhile, online grocery firm 24X7 yesterday said it will sell tur dal at Rs 140 per kg as against the current market price of around Rs 200 per kg.
