Gram, its dal prices edge up on scattered buying

In restricted activity, gram and its dal prices rose by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on scattered buying by retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts.
However, other pulses moved in a narrow range on little doing and settled at last levels.
Marketmen said some buying by retailers and restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly led to a rise in gram and its dal prices.
In the national capital, gram edged up to Rs 4,500-5,350 from previous level of Rs 4,450-5,350 per quintal. Its dal local and best also traded higher by Rs 50 each to Rs 4,850-5,050 and Rs 4,950-5,250 per quintal, respectively.
Besin Shaktibhog and Rajdhani were quoted higher at Rs 2,000 each instead of Rs 1,950 per 35 kg bag, respectively.
