Gram, its dal strengthen on rising demand

Gram and its dal prices strengthened by Rs 50 per quintal in lacklustre trade at the wholesale pulses market today on rising demand against tight supplies from producing belts.
However, other pulses moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said besides rising demand, tight supplies from producing regions mainly pushed up gram and its dal prices.
In the national capital, gram increased to Rs 3,500-4,300 from previous level of Rs 3,500-4,250 per quintal.
Its dal local and best quality were up by Rs 50 each to Rs 4,000-4,200 and Rs 4,100-4,400 per quintal respectively.
Besides Shaktibhog and Rajdhani in line with general trend quoted higher at Rs 1,660 instead of Rs 1,630 per 35 bag respectively.
