Gram, its dal turn weak on low demand

Gram and its dal prices fell by up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today owing to slackened demand from retailers.
However, other pulses continued to move in a narrow range in limited deals and pegged at last levels.
Traders said tepid demand from retailers against sufficient stocks position mainly weighed on gram and its dal prices.
In the national capital, gram eased to Rs 5,500-5,800, while its dal local and best quality were down by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,100-6,500 and Rs 6,500-6,600 per quintal respectively.
Besan Shaktibhog and Rajdhani also quoted lower at Rs 2,600 each instead of Rs 2,750 each per 35 kg bag.
