On the other hand, prices of other pulses remained unchanged on scattered support.
Traders said increased buying by retailers mainly led to the rise in gram and kabli gram prices.
In the national capital, gram and its dal local prices edged up by 25 and Rs 50 to Rs 3,600-4,225 and Rs 3,900-4,100 per quintal, respectively.
Its dal best quality also edged up by a similar margin to Rs 4,000-4300 per quintal.
Kabli gram small variety too moved up by Rs 50 to Rs 4,250-6,550 per quintal as demand picked up.
