Gram, kabli gram rise on speculative buying

Prices of gram and kabli gram rose by upto Rs 500 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on increased speculative buying.
However, moong and moth drifted lower on muted demand against adequate stocks position.
Traders attributed the rise in gram and kabuli gram and arhar prices on increased speculative buying.
In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality surged by Rs 500 each to Rs 8,500-8,750, Rs 8,900-9,100 and Rs 9,200-9,300 per quintal respectively.
Kabuli gram small variety followed suit and edged up to Rs 9,000-10,000 from previous level of Rs 9,000-9,700 per quintal.
Arhar also strengthened to Rs 7,150 against last close of Rs 6,750 per quintal.
On the other hand, moong eased to Rs 4,500-5,200 against last close of Rs 4,700-5,200 per quintal. Its dal chilka local moved down by Rs 200 to Rs 5,000-5,400 per quintal.

Moth too slipped to Rs 3,800-4,100 from previous close of Rs 4,200-4,600 per quintal.
