Traders said fresh buying by stockists due to pick up in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts pushed up gram and masoor prices.
In the national capital, gram, gram dal local and best quality were up by Rs 200 each to Rs 4,150-4,250, Rs 4,300-4,700 and Rs 4,700-4,800 per quintal, respectively.
Besan Shaktibhog and Rajdhani quoted higher at Rs 2,000 each per 35 kg bag instead of Rs 1,900 each.

On the other hand, urad and its dal chilka local declined by Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 3,900-5,200 and Rs 4,800-4,900 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya also traded lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,900-5,400 and Rs 5,300-5,500 per quintal.
