However, arhar and its dal ended lower due to lack of buying support.
Traders said stockists' buying following pick-up in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts and some enquiries from dal mills mainly pushed up gram and masoor prices.
In the national capital, gram edged higher to Rs 5,150-5,450 from previous level of Rs 5,000-5,300 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality followed suit and enquired higher by Rs 200 each to Rs 5,700-6,100 and Rs 6,100 -6,200 per quintal, respectively.
Malka local and best quality too finished higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,100-4,300 and Rs 4,200-4,500 per quintal.

On the other hand, arhar and its dal dara variety shed Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 3,900 and Rs 5,700-7,600 per quintal, respectively.
