Grandfather of girl subjected to sexual abuse arrested

A 60-year-old man was arrested on charges of sexually abusing his 10-year-old grand child, whose body was later found hanging from her mother's house.
The accused was identified as Victor (60), maternal grandfather of the child.
The girl's body was found hanging from the window of her mother's house at Kundara on January 15.
The incident had also figured in the state assembly.
Government had suspended two officers for "lapses" in the probe.
The post-mortem report had confirmed that the girl was sexually abused.
