Government today said it was closely monitoring the Greek crisis and prepared to face any situation in view of its 'comfortable' foreign exchange reserves.

"We are closely monitoring if the (crisis) will have any impact on India. However, we are confident of facing any situation as our foreign exchange reserves are comfortable," Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman told reporters at the airport here.

The government and the Reserve Bank were keenly monitoring the developments in the European nation but there was nothing that could 'upset' India's prospects, she said in response to a query on the impact of Greece' financial crisis on the country.

To a question on the Vyapam scam in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh, she said since Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced recommending the probe to the CBI, there would not be anymore controversy.
