Emmanouil Chatzakis, who hails from Greece, was arrested on February 20 by the Crime Branch from New Delhi Railway Station area following a tip off.
About 140 fine quality LSD paper stamps and 250 gm of Charas was recovered from him. Value of the recovered LSD and Charas in the international market is approximately Rs 14 lakh and Rs 1 lakh respectively, police said.
A case under section 20/22 NDPS Act has been registered against him.
"Then he went to Nepal for 15 days and went to Kasol, Himachal Pradesh. He bartered some LSD paper stamps for Charas in Kasol. On February 20, he came to Delhi to deliver LSD to different buyers but was caught by the police team," said Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav.
The accused had worked as a Manager in a restaurant namely Calypso in Creta Island, South Greece. While working at the restaurant, he came in contact with a drug peddler who told him that Charas is costly in Greece, but cheaper in the Indian market and barter system is in practice for drugs in Kasol.
