Stewart was forced to issue a public apology after it emerged that she cheated on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with married director Rupert Sanders in July.
The affair threatened to break her relationship with Pattinson but the couple seems to have reunited since then.
Green, 25, who plays vampire Alice Cullen in the vampire romance series, has opened up about the incident in an interview with Seventeen magazine.
"Hopefully it won't taint it and people will still be able to enjoy the movie," she said.
Talking about her experience about love, Greene said, "I certainly have (been in love.) I can still love an ex as a person, regardless if the breakup was bad. I would never wish anything negative on them. It takes more energy to hate them than to wish them well."
With the success of the vampire romance behind her, Greene has set her eyes on bigger things.
"I really don't want to be here for a minute and then gone the next. In five years I wouldn't be opposed to having a husband and thinking about kids. Okay, maybe 10 years for that! And I want to win an Oscar or an Emmy," she said.
