Greenlam Industries Q2 net profit down 2.7% at Rs 8.97 cr

Greenlam Industries Ltd has reported a decline of 2.71 per cent in standalone net profit at Rs 8.97 crore for the quarter ended September 30.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 9.22 crore for the same period a year ago, Greenlam Industries said in a BSE filing.
Its net sales on standalone basis during the quarter under review was up 6.16 per cent to Rs 235.27 crore as against Rs 221.61 crore of the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.
Its total expense was at Rs 225.60 crore, up 8.46 per cent, during the as against Rs 208 crore a year ago.

In the first half of the ongoing fiscal, Greenlam's standalone net profit increased 15.12 per cent to Rs 17.96 crore as against Rs 15.60 crore in the six-month period a year ago.
Its total income on standalone basis in first half of the current fiscal gained 7.11 per cent to Rs 460.38 crore as against Rs 429.79 crore in the same period last year.
Shares of Greenlam Industries closed 4.72 per cent down at Rs 764.85 apiece on BSE.
