Despite Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das' warning to officials against any laxity in their performance, complaints against them were trickling in at a grievance redressal set up.
Reviewing the complaints during the day, Sunil Burnwal, the secretary to Chief Minister Raghubar Das, served show cause notices to four officials or employees in connection with the complaints and recommended suspension of the erring official or employee in the delay in giving pension to the widow, an official release said today.
Detailing the complaint, the release said, a widow from Pakur complained with the Jan Samvad Kendra (JSK) that she did not benefit from the government's widow pension scheme even after applying for it nine months ago.
A person from Giridih complained that his land was acquired by the government for construction of a ring road, but the compensation, which he was to get, was given to another person, the release said.
A report sent by a block development officer in Ramgarh district on the construction of a panchayat bhavan was allegedly found misleading after a complaint received by JSK that it remained incomplete, the release stated.
In another complaint, one Rameshwar Modi stated that the government department, which had taken his area for rent to store bitumen, has not paid rent to the tune of Rs 2,03,000.
Soon after Das became chief minister, he set up the grievance redressal cell, JSK, to know the problems of people in order to solve them.
