Chief Minister of Puducherry V Narayanasamy launched a grievance redressal camp called 'Makkal Kural' at Nettapakkam, a village, near here Thursday.
The camp was conducted amid Opposition's criticism that grievances of people were drawing little or no attention for last the three years due to the turf war between the chief minister and Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi.
All the Ministers, top officials of various departments and the local legislator Vijaveny were present at the camp and listened to the grievances of the people.
Later speaking to reporters, Narayanasamy said the purpose of the camp which would be held across Puducherry in a phased manner was to ensure that the grievances of the people in getting land pattas, ration cards, income and caste certificates and old age pension were addressed.
The Chief Minister said his government's aim was to meet the people at their doorstep and listen to their grievances.
Availability of healthcare facilities in the villages would also be ensured so that there would be uninterrupted and un-delayed medical attention.
