Coconut oil also ended higher.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range due to lack of worthwhile activity and pegged at the last levels.
Traders said mild demand from retailers mainly attributed the rise in groundnut and coconut oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil moved up by Rs 100 to Rs 10,200 per quintal.
Coconut oil also quoted higher by Rs 50 to Rs 1,800-1,850 per tin.
