Castor oil in the non-edible section, however, eased on reduced offtake by consuming industries.
Traders attributed the rise in groundnut and cottonseed oil prices to some demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) and cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oils edged higher by Rs 100 and Rs 50 to Rs 8,800 and Rs 6,450 per quintal respectively.
On the other hand, castor oil in the non-edible section, drifted lower by Rs 100 to Rs 8,500-8,600 per quintal.
