However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said besides rising demand for the ongoing wedding season, restricted arrivals from producing region mainly strengthened groundnut and mustard oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) and mustard expeller (Dadri) oils advanced by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,400 and Rs 7,100 per quintal, respectively.
Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
