Groundnut, mustard oils ease on sluggish demand

Prices of groundnut and mustard oils fell by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand from millers and retailers.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a tight range on little doing and settled around previous levels.
Traders said subdued demand from retailers against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from growing belts mainly pulled down groundnut and mustard oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) and mustard expeller (Dadri) oils were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 8,600 and Rs 7,100 per quintal respectively.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustardseed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnutseed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 930-1,070.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,600, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,550-1,600, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,100, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,200-1,250, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,250-1,350, sesame mill delivery Rs 7,800, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,500, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,200, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,200, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,550, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,450, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,350 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,375-2,425.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,200, Castor Rs 9,750-9,850, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
