Groundnut, mustard oils ease on subdued demand

Prices of groundnut and mustard oils eased by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand from retailers.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said sluggish demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly led to the decline in groundnut and mustard oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat)and mustard expeller (Dadri) oils were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,450 and Rs 7,250 per quintal respectively.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
