Prices of groundnut and mustard oils declined by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on subdued demand from retailers.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said weak demand from retailers against adequate supplies from producing regions led to the fall in groundnut and mustard oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) and mustard expeller (Dadri) oils traded lower by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,350 and Rs 6,750 per quintal, respectively.
Following are today's quotations (in Rupees per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
