Groundnut, mustard oils up as demand picks

Prices of groundnut and mustard oils were higher by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on the back of increased demand from retailers.
Castor oil in the non-edible section also went up on increased offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said increased demand from retailers supported by festive season mainly led to the rise in groundnut and mustard oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) and mustard expeller (Dadri) oils moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,350 and Rs 7050 per quintal respectively.
Among non-edible, castor oil traded higher by Rs 50 to Rs 9,700-9,800 per quintal.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,140-1,250.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,350, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,300-1,375, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,050, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,225-1,275, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,275-1,375, sesame mill delivery 8,100, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,500, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,200, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,000, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,050, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,950, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,750 and Coconut (per tin) 2,700-2,775.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,800, Castor 9,700-9,800, Neem 5,350-5,450.
