Groundnut, mustard oils up on increased offtake

Prices of groundnut and mustard oils rose by up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today due to increased offtake by vanaspati millers.
However, castor oil in the non-edible section, eased on sluggish demand from consuming industries.
Traders said increased offtake by vanaspati millers to meet rising festive season demand from retailers amid restricted supplies from producing regions mainly pushed up groundnut and mustard oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil advanced by Rs 200 to Rs 8,600 per quintal.
Mustard expeller (Dadri) oil also edged up by Rs 50 to Rs 7,950 per quintal.

On the other hand, castor oil in the non-edible section, slipped by Rs 200 to Rs 9,100-9,200 per quintal.

Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,800, Castor Rs 9,100-9,200, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
