Groundnut, mustard oils up on scattered demand

Prices of groundnut and mustard oils climbed up by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today supported by scattered demand from the retailers.
Similarly, in the non-edible section, Castor oil also moved up on increased offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said some demand from retailers mainly attributed the rise in groundnut and mustard oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) and mustard expeller (Dadri) oils were up by Rs 50 each to Rs 8,300 and Rs 7870 per quintal respectively.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 930-1,100.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 8,300, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,350-1,400, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,870, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,250- 1,300, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,300-1,400, sesame mill delivery 7,500, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,850, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,550, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 4,300, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 5,800, Palmolein (RBD) 5,900, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,750 and Coconut (per tin) 2,350-2,400.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 8,400, Castor 9,700-9,800, Neem 5,350-5,450.
