Prices of groundnut and mustard oils drifted lower by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today due to reduced offtake by stockists following easing demand against adequate stocks.
However, palmolein strengthens on selective buying.
Elsewhere, non-edible oils held steady in thin trade.
Traders said reduced offtake by stockists due to fall in demand from retailers against adequate stocks, mainly led to the decline in groundnut and mustard oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil fell by Rs 100 to Rs 8,900 per quintal.
Mustard expeller (Dadri) also eased by Rs 50 to Rs 7,750 per quintal.
On the other hand, palmolein (RBD) and palmolein (Kandla) oils advanced by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,300 and Rs 5,350 per quintal, respectively.
