Groundnut oil advances on festive demand

Groundnut oil prices maintained its uptrend in an otherwise mute Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here on rising demand from stockists and retailers amid ensuing festivities.
While, refined palmolein eased further in the absence of retail buying support.
Among non-edibles, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil remained steady in the absence of any major buying activity.
In the edible section, groundnut oil surged by Rs 15 per 10 kg to Rs 890 from Friday's closing level of Rs 875.
However, refined palmolein eased by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 498 as against Rs 500 yesterday.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 4,075 per 100 kg, Rs 845 per 10 kg and Rs 760 per 10 kg, respectively.
