Groundnut oil continued its downtrend on subdued demand

Groundnut oil prices continued its downtrend for the seventh straight session at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following subdued demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palmolein moved down further on mild retail offtake.
While, in non-edible section, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseedoil prices all ruled steady in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil prices fell by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 1,250 from Friday's closing level of Rs 1,255 and Refined palmolein edged-down by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 626.
Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil all closed unchanged at Rs 3,800 per 100 kg, Rs 790 and Rs 1,080 per 10 kg, respectively.
