Groundnut oil declines on reduced demand

On the other hand, refined palmolein edged up on better retail buying.

In non-edible, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial rose further owing to sustained demand from shippers and soap manufacturer.

In futures, castorseeds prices maintained an uptrend on persistant demand on the back of higher export orders.

In the edible-segment, groundnut oil fell by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,190 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,200.While, refined palmolein inched up by a rupee per 10 kg to Rs 600.

Turning to non-edible, castorseed bold gained by Rs 75 per 100 kg to Rs 3,025 from Rs 2,950 and Castoroil commercial moved up by Rs 15 per 10 kg to Rs 635 from Rs 620 previously. Linseed oil remained unchanged at Rs 705 per 10 kg.

Moving to futures, castorseed for the September contract resumed higher at Rs 3,130 and surged to Rs 3,170 before closing at Rs 3,159 as compared to Rs 3,121 previously, showing a modest gain of Rs 38 per tonne.
