Groundnut oil declines on subdued demand

While, refined palmolein gained further on good buying support on the back of bullish Malaysian cues.

In non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

Castorseeds futures recovered slightly on renewed speculative offtake on the back of good export orders.

In the edible section, groundnut oil fell by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 1,150 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,160. However, refined palmolein went up by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 515 from Rs 513.

Moving to futures, castorseed December contract resumed slightly higher at Rs 3,680 later moved down to Rs 3,636 before regaining to close at Rs 3,680 as against Rs 3,672 previously, showing a modest gain of Rs 8 per tonne.

Turning to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil all closed unchanged at Rs 3,475 per 100 kg, Rs 725 per 10 kg and Rs 820 per 10 kg, respectively.
