Groundnut oil dips on reduced offtake by retailers
Press Trust of India New Delhi Groundnut oil eased by Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market today due to reduced offtake by retailers against adequate stocks position.
Among the non-edibles, castor oil also traded lower on slackened demand from consuming industries.
Traders said besides reduced offtake by retailers, adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on groundnut oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil declined by Rs 50 to Rs 8,900 per quintal.
Castor oil moved down by Rs 50 to Rs 9,800-9,900 per quintal.

Oilseeds: Mustardseed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnutseed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 850-1,065.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,900, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,650-1,700, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,550, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,270-1,320, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,320-1,420, sesame mill delivery Rs 8,050, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,600, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,300, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,250, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,800, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,550, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,450 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,225-2,250.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,450, Castor Rs 9,800-9,900, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
