Refined palmolein and linseed oil prices ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
Meanwhile, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial recovered owing to fresh demand from shippers and soap industries.
Castorseeds futures declined further following speculative sell-off owing to lack of export enquiries.
In Edible section, Groundnut oil fell by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 1,265 from Frirday's closing level of Rs 1,270. Refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 497 per 10kg.
Turning to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold climbed by Rs 15 per 100 kg to Rs 3,615 from Rs 3,600 and castoroil commercial edged-up by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 753 as compared to Rs 750 yesterday. Linseed oil closed unaltered at Rs 825 per 10 kg.
Moving to futures, castorseed March contract resumed slightly higher at Rs 3,890 and dropped lower to finish at Rs 3,851 from previous closing level of Rs 3,889, a net loss of Rs 38 per tonne.
