Groundnut oil prices fell by Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand from retailers against adequate stocks position.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled at previous levels.
Traders said subdued demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly led to the decline in groundnut oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil fell by Rs 50 to Rs 7,450 per quintal.
