Groundnut oil edges up on increased offtake

Barring a rise in groundnut oil on increased offtake by retailers, other edible and non edible oils held steady at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on scattered activity.
Traders said some demand from retailers against tight supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in groundnut oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil moved up by Rs 50 to Rs 8,650 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustard seed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut seed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 930-1,070.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,650, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,550-1,600, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,100, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,200-1,250, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,250-1,350, sesame mill delivery Rs 7,400, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,550, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,250, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,200, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,500, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,500, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,400 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,350-2,400.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,200, Castor Rs 9,700-9,800, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
