Groundnut oil edges up on scattered demand
Press Trust of India New Delhi Groundnut mill delivery oil rose by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on scattered demand from retailers.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a tight range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said mild demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in groundnut oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil gained Rs 50 to Rs 8,600 per quintal.

Oilseeds: Mustard seed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 930-1,070.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,600, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,400-1,450, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,750, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,250-1,300, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,300-1,400, sesame mill delivery Rs 7,400, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,750, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,450, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,200, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,800, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,750, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,600 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,350-2,400.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,400, Castor Rs 9,750-9,850, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
