Groundnut oil prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market today due to reduced offtake by retailers against adequate stocks position.
However, other edible and non-edible oils continued to trade in a tight range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said besides reduced offtake by retailers, adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from producing belts mainly kept pressure on groundnut oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) went down by Rs 50 to Rs 7,750 per quintal.
