Groundnut oil gains on consistent demand

However, refined palmolein slipped further due to subdued retail offtake.

Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial prices declined owing to reduced demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.

Linseed oil prices maintained a stable trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying.

In futures, castorseeds recovered modestly on fresh export enquiries.

In the edible section, groundnut oil surge by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 1,240 from Friday's closing level of Rs 1,235. Refined palmolein eased by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 513.

Turning to the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold slid by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,425 from Rs 3,450 and castor oil commercial went down by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 715 as compared to Rs 720. Linseedoil closed unaltered at Rs 820.

Moving to futures, Castorseed December resumed slightly higher at Rs 3,565, but later gained to finished at Rs 3,590 as against Rs 3,562 previously, showing a modest rise of Rs 28 per tonne.
