Groundnut oil prices moved up by Rs 50 per quintal on renewed demand from retailers in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market today.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said increased demand from retailers led to the rise in groundnut oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil traded higher by Rs 50 to Rs 7,250 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
