Groundnut oil prices declined further in an otherwise listless oils and oilseeds market today due to lower demand from stockists and retailers amidst ample supply positions.
While, refined palmoil, castorseed bold, castor oil commercial and linseeds oil prices continued to remain stable due to lack of any worthwhile buying.
In futures, castorseeds for September contract fell on sustained speculative selling following poor export enquiries.
In the edible segment, Groundnut oil eased by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 980 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 985. Refined palmolein unaltered at Rs 525 per 10 kg.
Moving to futures, Castorseeds September contract resumed lower at Rs 3,652 and hovered between Rs 3,660 and Rs 3,645 before closing at Rs 3,650 from Rs 3,712 last weekend, showing a fall of Rs 62 per tonne.
Turning to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil all were closed unchanged at Rs 3,500, Rs 730 and Rs 730, respectively.
