Groundnut oil prices firmed-up further at the oils and oilseeds market here today on sustained demand from stockist and retailers.
Meanwhile, refined palmolein edged down owing to lower retail buying support.
In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseedoil all held steady in the absence of any large scale buying.
In futures, castorseeds for September contract slipped following speculative selling amid reduced export enquiries.
In the edible segment, Groundnutoil rose by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,000 from Friday's closing level of 990. However, refined palmolein eased by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 536 from Rs 538.
Moving to futures, castorseeds September contract resumed lower at Rs 3,720 and drifted further to Rs 3,705 before ending at Rs 3,715 from Rs 3,745 previously, showing a loss of Rs 30 per tonne.
Turning to non-edible section, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseedoil all closed unchanged at Rs 3,525, Rs 735 and Rs 730, respectively.
