Refined palmolein and linseed oil held steady in the absence of any major buying activity.

In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial eased due to reduced demand from shippers and soap industries.

In futures, castorseeds futures slipped on speculative selling following lower export enquiries.

In the edible section, Groundnut oil rose by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 1,280 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,275. Refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 507 per 10kg.

Moving to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold declined by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,525 from Rs 3,550 and castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 735 as compared to Rs 740 previously. Linseed oil closed unaltered at Rs 860 per 10kg.

Turning to the futures segment, castorseed March contract resumed higher at Rs 3,692 and moved in a range of Rs 3,692 and Rs 3,657 before closing at Rs 3,672, a modest loss of Rs 8 per tonne.
