Groundnut oil weakens on reduced demand

Groundnut oil weakened further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on reduced demand from stockists and retailers amid ample arrivals from producing belts.
Elsewhere, refined palmolein also declined due to subdued offtake from retailers.
In the non-edible, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial eased further owing to weak offtake from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil ruled stable in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnutoil fell Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 930 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 940 and refined palmolein moved down by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 488 as compared to Rs 492 yesterday.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold looked down by Rs 10 per 100 kg to Rs 4,100 from Rs 4,110 and castor oil commercial went down Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 850 as against Rs 852.
Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 810 per 10 kg.
