Groundnut, palmolein oil decline on low demand

Groundnut mill delivery and palmolein oil prices fell by up to Rs 30 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today due to fall in demand at existing levels amid weak trend at regional markets.
Other edible and non-edible oils, after moving in a narrow range in the absence of worthwhile activity, settled around previous closing.
Traders attributed the fall in groundnut mill delivery and palmolein prices to muted demand from retailers as well as millers.
In the edible segment, groundnut mill delivery oil (Gujarat) fell by Rs 30 to Rs 9,020 per quintal. Groundnut solvent refined oil also fell in sympathy and ended Rs 10 down at Rs 1,680-1,730 per tin.

Palmolein (RBD) and palmolein (Kandla) too were under some pressure and lost Rs 20 each at Rs 5,560 and Rs 5,490 per quintal, respectively.
